Adding your design to a product in Inkse is simple. Depending on the garment type, you will use either the 2D design experience or the 3D design experience, or a combination of both. You can upload artwork, generate AI designs, apply all over prints or solid colours and add external branding or internal labels. The process gives you complete control over placement, scale and treatment type so every garment feels custom made.

2D Design Experience: Used for mens and womens Activewear and Sleepwear
3D Design Experience: Used for mens and womens Streetwear and general apparel
Many garments use both workflows, allowing you to apply a full surface pattern in 2D and then add branding and finishing elements in 3D.
Inkse provides two creative layers within the design experience.
The 2D design experience is used for mens and womens Activewear and Sleepwear. In this step you can:
Apply an all over repeating pattern across the entire garment or across the full set if you have selected both a top and a bottom. Supported file formats include PSD, PNG, JPG, JPEG and SVG.
Upload your own repeatable pattern files, choose from Inkse’s library of royalty free artworks or apply a solid colour.
Adjust scale, colour and repeat settings to refine the pattern or artwork.
Choose a solid colour for the full garment surface.
This stage is ideal for textile prints, custom colourways and complete surface artwork.
The 3D design experience is used for mens and womens Streetwear and apparel silhouettes. In this step you can add:
Front and back logos
Chest and pocket placements
Internal neck labels
Care label artwork
Brand marks and graphic elements
This stage is ideal for adding branding, layering graphics and finishing the garment.
Select Add Design to choose from the three artwork options:
Generate original artwork using a written text prompt.
Upload your own finished design files. Supported formats include PNG, SVG and AI.
Create text based artwork using selectable fonts, colours and layout controls.
Enter a descriptive prompt to generate artwork variations.
Drag and drop your file or upload it manually.
Type your wording, select a font and adjust the layout.
Once your artwork appears on the garment:
Use drag controls to reposition
Resize or rotate your design
Apply it to the front, back, sleeves, pocket or neck label areas
Use alignment tools for accuracy and balance
Both the 2D and 3D views help you finalise your layout.
Choose from Inkse’s finishing treatments such as:
Embroidery
Puff
Each treatment influences the final texture, longevity and feel of the garment.
Rotate your garment to inspect placement, scale and finish. Review all available views including front, back and neck label before submitting your garment for production.
Yes. Multiple designs can be layered or applied across different garment areas.
You can remove or replace your artwork at any time before finalising your order.
Preview artwork at different sizes to find the most balanced layout.
Use the 2D stage for full surface prints and the 3D stage for branding to create a professional, retail ready finish.
These ensure your artwork is centred and positioned accurately before production.
